Tylee has always written – thoughts, poems, fragments of stories. At some point, these words turned into song lyrics. The decisive moment came when she picked up a ukulele whilst on holiday in France: suddenly, she had found a way to bring her words to life – the little ukulele has remained her faithful companion ever since. As the singer of her punk band ‘Tylee and the Gang’ (TxTG for short), she channels her energy into something loud, chaotic and heartfelt; at the same time, she can also be found behind the mixing desk as a sound engineer.

Her solo project, by contrast, strikes a very different, distinctly gentler note: Tylee herself describes it as “Psychedelic Flower Pop” – a deeply personal project that reflects the many facets of her musical journey. In March 2025, she released her digital solo debut album, “Holiday from my Head”, via GMO – The Label.

For Tylee, songs are stories she couldn’t express out loud – every melody, every word, every snapshot is a piece of the jigsaw that, through sound and silence, chaos and tranquillity, captures what often goes unnoticed. With roots in rock, alternative and punk, the Cologne-based artist moves between her two musical worlds – loud and boisterous with the band, quiet and poetic when performing solo.
