Hans Nieswandt (Whirlpool Prod./FROM DISCO TO DISCO) has picked out the rather sentimental “Return (Again)” from Mathias Schaffhäuser’s latest solo album “Singing About It” and crafted it into a pop-house blend that radiates optimism – that’s no mean feat! Major instead of minor and disco instead of dub is the motto for autumn.
On his Instagram account Hans Nieswandt wrote about the remix: „It’s quite dramatic I think, at the same time quite poppy, of course very DJ-friendly, so you can get all emotional while dancing on the floor in the kitchen.“

And, as already hinted at, this won’t be the only track. In three weeks’ time, on 16 October, the second single EP in this series will be released – the “About EP”– featuring a remix by a friend from Schaffhäuser with links to the Cologne minimal scene. The second track on the EP is a Schaffhäuser club mix of the album’s title track.

A further three weeks later, on 6 November, it all culminates in the compilation „Dancing About It“, which brings together all the remixes released to date from Schaffhäuser’s latest album – including a fourth new remix, produced by a Cologne-based musician who is also closely associated with Mathias: Ziggy Kinder!
